Motivation is a process that begins with a physiological or psychological deficiency or need that activates behavior or drive aimed at a goal or an incentive. In Business Organizations Employees Motivation is the main part.

Employees Motivation means Motivating employees can lead to increased productivity and allow an organization to achieve higher levels of output. Salary is often enough motivation to keep employees working for an organization, but it’s not always enough to push them to fulfill their full potential. Motivated employees will retain a high level of innovation while producing higher quality work at a higher level of efficiency.

The major content of Motivation theories are,
1.Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Theory                                                          
2. Frederick Herzberg Two Factor Theory
3. McGregor Theory X and Theory Y


The Effective methods of motivation using Motivation Theories
  • Using Maslow’s Motivation Theory, we have to motivate the business organization people by five levels of their needs. The first level is a Physiological need of the people in the organization such as we provide air (the good environment), drinking water, food and the good place to stay and sleep. In the second level, we motivate by provide Safety needs that which include Personal security, Health, Safety against accident by give a lifetime policy to the people.

  • In the third level, Belonging needs exit. It gives people need to feel a sense of belonging, affection, acceptance and friendship. It is about build the bond between relationships, families and friendship. At the same Business Organizations fulfill the need of their people.
  • In the fourth level, Self respect needs remain. This is where people look to be respected and to have self –respect. Achievement needs, Respect of others are in this level.In the top level, Self Actualization needs exist. This level of need pertains to realizing the person’s job satisfaction.
  • Using Herzberg Motivation Theory, there are two kindo of factors affect motivation. One is Hygiene Factors another one is Motivator Factors. The Hygiene Factors of the Business Organization is motivate people by giving a attractive and good salary, give a permanent job security for the employees, provide a suitable working condition for each person according to their skills and ability, each one of the organization understand and respect the company policy and all are maintain under a great supervision and give ideas to improve their selves and effective to do their works.
  • The Motivator factors of the organization is contribute the achievement of the organization, recognition for the each employee achievement, give a opportunity to do something significantly to the employee, the organization fulfill to the employee personal growth by providing freedom for their thoughts, challenging their work and limitate essential in entitle the employee individual performance and strong team.

  • Using McGregor Motivation Theory, there are two theories related to employee motivation and management in McGregor motivation theories and its divided employees into two categories Theory X, Theory Y.

  • Theory X employees avoid work and dislike responsibility. In order to motivate them, employers need to enforce rules and implement punishments. Employees dislike work, are lazy, dislike responsibility, and must be give pressure to perform at the same time the business organization tend to be top heavy, with managers and supervisors required at every step to control workers. Theory Y employees enjoy putting forth effort at work when they have control in the work place. Employers must develop opportunities for employees to take on responsibility by implementing their decisions and show creativity as a way of motivating to using their skills to wider area. These employees like work are creative, seek responsibility, can exercise self management and enjoy working with greater responsibility.
  •  Motivational Techniques

    Give employees to executive compensation like Salary, Short term incentive, Long Term Incentives, Annual bonus of the salary, Allowances to motivating employees and increase their performances offering a pleasant work environment and builds friendly relationship between organization and employees.
    At the same time, conduct training programmes, seminars and specialization wise training to build their skills and tell them how to implement to do their work easily and encourage employees to take vacation time to balance their work stress.
    Understanding employees by spend some time with each of your employees will go a long way, tends know employees outside of the work circle with talk with them and try to find their what they are intend about them.
    We have to puts human resources into action. Because every concern requires physical, financial and human resources to accomplish the goals. It is through motivation that the human resources can be utilized by making full use of it. This can be done by building willingness in employees to work. This will help the enterprise in securing best possible utilization of resources.
    Give proper details about team work because some employees are not trust or like each other. So we need to solve this by saying each person skills and their talent and give a good guidance to work as a good team.

    By giving employee purpose motivate each employee by giving them a goal. When we do this, they understand the vision and are better able to run more strongly. After that they will understand their purpose and the company's goal.
